The Haryana government is set to implement its flagship 'Lado Lakshmi Yojana,' announced in the recent budget, which will provide eligible women with Rs 2,100 per month. With a substantial allocation of Rs 5,000 crore, this ambitious welfare scheme could be launched anytime soon.

State officials are currently deliberating on eligibility criteria - whether to limit benefits to women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families or extend it to households with a combined annual income of up to Rs 3 lakh. This consideration aligns with the government's ongoing review of BPL income verification to prevent misuse of benefits.

Authorities are also examining Family ID Cards to ensure proper implementation and targeting of the scheme. The initiative represents a significant step toward women's financial empowerment in Haryana, providing direct monthly support to potentially thousands of beneficiaries across the state.
