Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will present six-month performance report in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit on April 14.
The visit holds particular significance as Saini, who was sworn in for his second term on October 17, 2024, approaches the six-month mark in office on April 17. BJP's state unit has been intensively preparing for what they're dubbing Modi's "thanksgiving visit" - his first appearance in Haryana since the party secured a historic third consecutive term following the October 5, 2024 Assembly elections.
Two massive rallies have been organized in Yamunanagar and Hisar for the occasion. People from 12 districts are expected to gather at the Yamunanagar event, while the Hisar rally will draw participants from 15 districts. The timing of these functions coincides with Dr. BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary celebrations taking place nationwide. Modi's itinerary includes laying the foundation stone for a new 800 MW unit at the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar, a project valued at Rs 7,272 crore. He will also inaugurate the Hisar airport, an initiative aimed at boosting regional air connectivity in the state.
"The pro-people policies of the triple engine government focused on uplifting all sections of society - women, farmers, youth and the underprivileged - will be highlighted by CM Saini as PM Modi gifts two major projects to our state," remarked BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli.
Among the achievements Saini plans to spotlight are a Rs 5,000 crore budget allocation for the 'Lado Lakshmi Yojana' that provides Rs 2,100 to beneficiaries, the Har Ghar Grihini Yojana offering cylinders at Rs 500 to 15 lakh families, jobs for over 25,000 youths "without kharchi and parchi," free dialysis services for kidney patients, land ownership rights for those occupying properties for over 20 years, and MSP declarations for 24 crops.
Saini has previously stated that his administration had already fulfilled 18 promises from their election manifesto within their first 100 days, with efforts underway to implement 10 additional commitments.
