The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced the appointment of 27 district presidents which is a major expansion of its organizational structure in Haryana. Dr. Archna Gupta, who serves as both State Secretary and State Election Officer for the BJP, released the list on Monday. She confirmed that state BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli made these appointments with the approval of national BJP chief Jagat Prakash Nadda.
Women Leaders Take Key Positions
The BJP has appointed four women to district leadership roles in this round of organizational changes. Jyoti Saini will head the Kaithal district unit, while Renu Sharma takes charge of Dabwali. Asha Khedar and Vandna Popli have been appointed to lead the Hisar and Rewari district units respectively.
Five New District Units Created
BJP has carved out five new district units from existing ones, bringing the total to 27. These new additions include Hansi (previously part of Hisar), Gohana (from Sonepat), Dabwali (from Sirsa), Ballabhgarh (from Faridabad), and Pataudi (from Gurugram). Dr. Gupta explained that this restructuring aims to improve the party's operational reach and effectiveness at the local level.
Complete List of District Presidents
The newly appointed district presidents include Ajay Mittal for Panchkula, Mandeep Rana for Ambala, Rajesh Sapra for Yamunanagar, and Sardar Tejender Goldy for Kurukshetra. In addition to the women leaders already mentioned, other key appointments include Praveen Lather for Karnal, Dushyant Bhatt for Panipat, Ashok Bhardwaj for Sonepat, and Bijender Malik for Gohana.
The list continues with Tejender Dhull for Jind, Ranbeer Dhaka for Rohtak, Vikas Balmiki for Jhajjar, Yatinder Singh Advocate for Sirsa, Ashok Saini for Hansi, and Praveen Joda for Fatehabad. Rounding out the appointments are Virender Kaushik for Bhiwani, Engineer Sunil for Dadri, Yatendera Rao for Mahendergarh, Sarvapriya Tyagi for Gurugram, Ajeet Yadav for Pataudi, Surender Singh Pintu for Nuh, Vipin Baisla for Palwal, Sohanpal Singh for Ballabgarh, and Pankaj Poojan Rampal for Faridabad.
Timing of Organizational Restructuring
BJP leaders had put their internal restructuring plans on hold during the Local election season, not wanting to disrupt the campaign momentum. With voting now complete, they've wasted no time getting back to organizational matters.
When asked about implementation, Dr. Gupta was clear that the changes wouldn't sit on paper. "All appointments come into effect right away," she said, emphasizing the party's urgency to get its new structure operating across Haryana.
