The automotive industry in Haryana is set to expand with some exciting developments in the Sonipat district. After Maruti 's massive plant, Japanese automobile giant Suzuki is now pushing forward to establish a new manufacturing facility in IMT (Industrial Model Township) Kharkhoda, bringing good news for job seekers across the state.

Suzuki's Land Acquisition and Preparation Work

Suzuki had previously purchased 100 acres of land in the IMT Kharkhoda area and is now ready to begin construction activities. The company has already initiated site preparation work, with a cleaning operation as part of the first phase of the project. This thorough site clearing aims to ensure that construction can proceed without any obstacles.

According to HSIIDC (Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation) Estate Officer Naresh Rohilla, Suzuki has started preparations for the ground-breaking ceremony. "The basic infrastructure development and construction work are gaining momentum," he stated.

Focus on Two-Wheeler Manufacturing

Suzuki's new plant will be manufacturing two-wheelers. This diversification in vehicle production will help create a more comprehensive automotive ecosystem in the region. The strategic location in Sonipat makes it ideal for distribution across North India.

Growing Automotive Hub in Kharkhoda

IMT Kharkhoda is rapidly emerging as a significant automotive center in Haryana. Maruti Suzuki is developing its factory on 800 acres of land, making it the largest investment in the area. Alongside Suzuki's 100-acre two-wheeler plant, Uno Minda company is also constructing its facility on 95 acres.

This concentration of automotive manufacturing units will transform Kharkhoda into a major industrial hub, similar to Gurugram and Manesar, which have benefited tremendously from Maruti Suzuki's presence over the decades.

The establishment of these automotive plants is expected to generate thousands of job opportunities for local residents. Beyond direct employment at the factories, numerous ancillary industries and service providers will also emerge to support these manufacturing units.

"With Maruti and Suzuki setting up new plants here, thousands of employment opportunities will be created. This will accelerate the industrial development of the state," added Rohilla.
