A joint operation by Gujarat's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Haryana Police has resulted in the arrest of a teenager allegedly planning a terror attack on the Sacred Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The youth was found carrying two live hand grenades near Pali village in Haryana in the joint operation.

The arrested boy has been identified as 19-year-old Abdul Rahman, originally from Manjnai village in Ayodhya. According to intelligence reports, Rahman had disturbing connections with the ISPK (Islamic State Province of Khorasan) module, which operates under Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) direction.

Security agencies have been tracking Rahman's suspicious movements for some time. About six months ago, he left his village for Ayodhya city before traveling to Delhi and then Visakhapatnam. Investigators report that he spent approximately four months with a Jamaat (religious gathering) in Visakhapatnam before returning.

Rahman's recent activities came under scrutiny when he traveled to Delhi on March 1, claiming to meet a friend. This trip apparently triggered the final phase of surveillance that culminated in his arrest in Haryana.

The teenager's background presents a complicated picture. Born on August 28, 2005, Rahman studied up to 10th grade at Maniram Yadav Inter College in Manjnai. His family describes him as a devout Muslim who prayed five times daily. His mother, Yasmin, told investigators that he worked as an e-rickshaw driver and also engaged in small manufacturing activities at home.

Rahman has three younger sisters - 15-year-old Asma, 12-year-old Alfia, and 6 year-old Alfisa. Rahman is the elder son in the family. Rahman has health issues since childhood as he was born with a hole in his heart and went to Ahmedabad to get it operated.

Finding live grenades with someone linked to terrorist groups has got security officials seriously worried. The big concern is whether there was a plan to attack the newly built Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Right now, investigators are working overtime to figure out if Rahman was acting alone or if there's a bigger network involved.
