
Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel, speaking at the India News Enclave, announced plans to launch air taxi services connecting Chandigarh with various cities across Haryana. The initiative aims to revolutionize and modernise regional connectivity and reduce travel time between major urban centers in Haryana.
Focus on Religious Tourism
The government is particularly focusing on connecting religious destinations, with plans to establish an air taxi route from Hisar to Khattu Shyam. This service aims to benefit pilgrims and make religious sites more accessible to devotees across the region.
Multi-City Network
Under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's direction, the project will connect multiple cities including:
- Chandigarh as the main hub of Air taxi network
- Hisar as a key connection point between the urban centers
- Faridabad will be main center for NCR connectivity
- Gurugram for business travelers
The government is currently in talks with private companies to operate these services, with plans to expand the network to more cities in the future for maximum public convenience and modernise transport network of Haryana.
