BJP to Contest Haryana Municipal Polls Under Party Symbol, Congress Yet to Decide

In the BJP's Core Committe meeting attended by the CM nayab Singh Saini and other senior leaders of the party, BJP has decided to contest the upcoming mayor elections under the party symbol as well as to use party symbol for Municipal Council Elections. On the other note the decision to do the same for municipal committe elections is still pending. In order to please voters , the party has decided to plan separate manifestos for different municipal corporations will take into account the needs of people from different regions.

The crucial meeting saw participation from CM Nayab Singh Saini, BJP state President Mohanlal Badoli, state In-charge Satish Punia, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, National Secretary OP Dhankar and other Senior leaders including Ram Bilas Sharma, Archana Gupta, Sunita Duggal. 

Congress Response and Planning 

The opposition party Congress has called a meeting in Delhi on Thursday to decide on using party symbol for elections and other strategies for the upcoming elections. Former CM Hooda criticized BJP for delayed elections stating that government is constantly delaying the important elections. 

Organizational Impact

BJP has postponed its internal organizational elections as  after the elections of 370 mandal presidents, the district president elections were going to be the next to be conducted but now they are delayed and party has shifted its focus on municipal elections. Party claims confident victory in urban local body polls as strives to rule the state on the path of good and effective governance.
