Families are in distress as many of them have taken huge loans and sold acres of land to send their children to US.
Village Perspective
Sarpanch Deependra Rana reports over 100 youth from just one village are abroad. The community is now witnessing the dark side of foreign dreams as it caused massive financial losses, separations from families, negative health impact on elderly parents, growing debt burden and loss of acres of agricultural land.
Warning for Others
Shubham, Akash's brother, warns youth against taking the dangerous "donkey route" to foreign countries. The Panama crossing was particularly hazardous, and the entire journey resulted in not just financial loss but also emotional trauma for families. The deportations highlight the risks of illegal immigration and the devastating impact on rural families who stake everything on the American dream.
