Haryana's tableau at the Republic Day parade was a testament to the state's rich cultural heritage. The tableau was divided into three sections. The front section of the tableau represents the battlefield of Kurukshetra, where Lord Krishna imparted his teachings to Arjuna. It emphasized Jyotisar, the site where the divine message was delivered. Jyotisar, now part of Kurukshetra city, is a significant pilgrimage site.
The second and the middle section of the tableau featured a craft cart inspired by the Surajkund Mela, the craft Car showcased handicraft such as Sarkanda craft, leather juttis, bagh, chope, phulkari, Rewari brassware and surahi. This also demonstrated Haryana’s transformation from historically rural state to a well developed industrial hub as a Haryanavi Tau was sitting with a laptop in the middle section. Additionally it paid tribute to the centre's "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" scheme for the welfare of the girl child.
The third and the final section of the table represented Haryana‘s reputation as the sporting state of India, Haryana emerged as a sporting powerhouse contributing over 30% of India’s medal in international competitions, including Olympic and Commonwealth games. Its not surprising that this year 16 Olympic and para Olympic medals were won by Haryana's athletes.
At the 76th Republic Day parade, Haryana tableau was a testament to the state's progress and development from its rich cultural heritage to its industrial progress and sporting excellence. Haryana has emerged as a modern and developed and progressive state.
