Big Relief for Haryana Traders: One-Time Settlement Scheme Launched

Haryana government has announced significant benefits to over 2 lakh traders, with an estimated total financial benefit of approximately ₹2,500 crore, while also introducing various healthcare, social welfare, and environmental initiatives.

Haryana government has taken a landmark decision by announcing a comprehensive One Time Settlement Scheme which will provide significant relief to traders across the state. Chief Minister Nayab Saini chaired a cabinet meeting in Chandigarh and approved this groundbreaking financial relief package. For Traders with dues between ₹10 Lakh and ₹10 Crore will benefit from an interest waiver and need to pay just 60% of their outstanding amount. On the other hand for traders with outstanding dues less than ₹10 Lakh they will be provided with complete interest waiver and ₹1 lakh reduction in the principal amount and requires to pay only 40% of the outstanding amount. This groundbreaking initiative is expected to provide relief to over 2 lakh traders with an estimated total financial benefit of approximately ₹2500 crore. 

Healthcare and Social Welfare Initiatives

Another initiative was taken regarding the hemophilia and thalassemia patients and the government has removed the 18 years age limit for pension benefits. These patients will receive extra financial assist showcasing the government’s commitment to support individuals with chronic medical conditions. On the other hand, the government has expanded the disability welfare by introducing 11 new categories of benefits that will impact over 32,000 person with disabilities. 

Step Towards Environment Sustainability 

On the environmental front cabinet approved the Haryana Air Clean Project. The detailed report about the project comes with a substantial budget allocation of over ₹3000 Crore with ambitious target of making Haryana pollution free by 2030. This complete strategy highlights the government’s commitment to address environmental challenges and promoting cleaner and more sustainable development.

Religious Infrastructure

The cabinet has also approved the creation of worship place board for Chulkana Dham in Panipat. This particular decision recognises the religious significance of the location which attracts lakhs of devotees during religious festivals. The move will develop and improve infrastructure for pilgrims and showcases the government sensitivity to religious and cultural dimension. 

The Lado Lakshmi scheme also received attention and Chief Minister Nayab Saini acknowledged that its implementation would place a significant financial burden on the state. Inspite of the challenges the government will move forward with comprehensive preparations to roll out the scheme in the upcoming budget session. 

The diversity of the initiatives reflects a holistic approach to governance which addresses economic, social, cultural, environmental and healthcare dimensions of development.
