Mohit Dhiman's journey began in the government school of Balu village, where he consistently topped his class from first to tenth grade. Despite financial hardships, his parents - father Kuldeep Dhiman, a mason, and mother Sushila Devi - never let their economic situation hinder their children's education. Mohit completed his higher secondary education from Shiksha Bharati School, Kalayat, before pursuing B.Sc and M.Sc Physics from Kurukshetra University.

Father's Inspiring Journey Alongside

While supporting his children's education through masonry work, Kuldeep Dhiman simultaneously pursued his own education, completing an art teacher's course. His determination paid off in 2014 when he secured a position as a guest art teacher. Currently, he serves at a government school in Sarsa village, Kurukshetra district, exemplifying that it's never too late to pursue one's dreams.

Path to UPSC Success

Mohit's UPSC journey included clearing the preliminary examination in February 2024, followed by the mains in June, and finally the interview on December 10. His achievement of securing the second rank nationally has brought tears of joy to his family. Throughout his academic journey, Mohit showed remarkable dedication, often saving his pocket money to buy books, demonstrating his passion for learning from an early age.

Balu village, designated as an Adarsh village since 2006, has produced several successful professionals despite limited educational resources. Recently, another village resident, Deepak Jaglan, achieved success by becoming a judge, adding to the village's growing list of achievements in various fields.
