
Opposition parties in Haryana launched a widescal protests agains Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statment on Babsaheb Ambedkar. Former CM Hooda lead congress workers while on the other hand BSP organised a protest. During the demonastration Bhupinder Hooda proudly shared that his father, Ranbir Singh Hooda, was among the distinguished signatories of the Constitution alongside Dr. BR Ambedkar. This family connection adds weight to his stance against the disrespect to the constitutional architect.
Huge Participation in Congress march
The Baba Saheb Ambedkar Samman March saw significant participation from Congress leaders and workers from across the state. The March started from Ambedkar Chowk, protesters carried portraits of Dr. Ambedkar and marched to the Mini-Secretariat. Various Congress MLAs, including Bharat Bhushan Batra from Rohtak and Shakuntala Khatak from Kalanaur, joined the demonstration.
BSP Joins the Movement
BSP workers organized their own protest in Jhajjar city showcasing opposition unity. BSP workers raised strong slogans against the Union Home Minister and culminated in submitting a memorandum to local authorities. The parallel protests the imapact of the comments is not limited to a certain area or a certain party.
Nationwide Demonstration
The Congress party has announced plans to escalate these protests to a national level. Hooda emphasized that the party would continue to raise its voice "from Parliament to the streets" to challenge what they view as the BJP's anti-Constitution stance. The opposition aims to maintain pressure on the government through continued demonstrations and public awareness campaigns.
