The newly constructed expressway represents a significant leap in India's road infrastructure, featuring state-of-the-art design and advanced safety features. Spanning 117 kilometers in its first phase, the expressway connects key cities in Haryana, including Sonipat, Rohtak, and Jind.

Key features of this innovative expressway include: 

• Access-controlled four-lane highway
• Speed limit of 120 km/h for light motor vehicles
• Speed limit of 80 km/h for heavy vehicles
• Booths-free toll system 

Comprehensive safety measures including:

• Protective railings on both sides
• Security walls to prevent stray animal crossings 
• Landscaped dividers with irrigation systems

Travel Preparations and Limitations

Travelers must note several important considerations:

• Only light and heavy motor vehicles are permitted  
• Motorcycles and auto-rickshaws are strictly prohibited
• Rest areas are currently under development 
• Travelers should carry sufficient fuel and supplies
• No on-route mechanical support available at present 

"The expressway will significantly reduce travel time and enhance connectivity between Delhi, Vaishno Devi, and Amritsar," said a senior transportation official. Travelers are already expressing excitement about the improved travel experience.
