Explosive Pre-Counting Allegations

State Congress president Udai Bhan has made a startling revelation that could potentially challenge the recent Haryana Assembly election results. According to Bhan, Haryana Congress incharge Deepak Babaria received a WhatsApp message on the morning of October 8, before the counting of votes began, which allegedly predicted electoral manipulation in 14 specific constituencies.

The message, which Bhan shared with media, named specific seats where EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) tampering was supposedly planned: Kalka, Gharaunda, Assandh, Rai, Kharkhauda, Safidon, Uchana Kalan, Badhra, Dadri, Mahendragarh, Hodal, Badkhal, Gohana, and Narwana.

Predictive Message and Actual Results

Intriguingly, the WhatsApp message predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure 46 to 49 seats, while the Congress would be reduced to 36 to 38 seats. The final results closely matched these predictions, with the BJP winning 48 seats and the Congress 37.

Bhan criticized Babaria for not raising the alarm earlier. "Had he alerted us on time, we could have exposed the tampering of EVMs," he stated. The Congress has already filed a complaint with the Election Commission, though they express skepticism about the commission's impartiality.

Legal and Political Fallout

The Congress party has announced its intention to approach the high court and file a petition challenging the election results. Party leaders are emphasizing the need for a comprehensive investigation into the alleged electoral irregularities.

Internal Party Analysis

Congress OBC wing chief Ajay Yadav offered additional insights into the party's defeat. He blamed wrong ticket distribution and the BJP's alleged strategy of exploiting Jat-non-Jat and Hindu-Muslim divisions for the election loss. Yadav specifically highlighted issues in Ballabhgarh and Ambala Cantonment, arguing that Backward Class (BC) communities, particularly the Kashyap community, did not receive adequate representation in ticket allocation. He also pointed to the reduced election campaign participation of leader Selja as a negative factor.

Provocatively questioning systemic biases, Yadav announced that the party would launch a caste census campaign on November 26 from Delhi, declaring, "If tigers, monkeys, and elephants can be counted, why not OBCs?"
