The investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against a senior IPS officer has escalated as the Haryana State Commission for Women has formally summoned the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Fatehabad district to present a detailed action taken report (ATR).

Commission chairperson Renu Bhatia has called for a hearing on October 29 in Faridabad, where the officers must appear before an inquiry committee. The summons, issued under Rule 10 (1) of the Haryana State Commission for Women Act 2012, comes in response to a four-page complaint letter that went viral on social media.

The case, which has drawn significant attention, involves allegations from seven female police officers who have signed a detailed complaint addressed to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The investigation is currently being led by a woman IPS officer who serves as the Fatehabad SP.

BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli has acknowledged the severity of the allegations and confirmed that the matter will be thoroughly investigated. The Commission has demanded comprehensive details of the ongoing investigation through an official email to all concerned officers.

This development represents a significant step in addressing workplace harassment within the police force, with state authorities taking swift action to investigate the serious allegations against a serving IPS officer.
