The Haryana Story reports that Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fierce attack on Congress leaders during his recent election rallies in Haryana. Speaking at events in Rewari, Barara (Ambala), and Ladwa (Kurukshetra), Shah focused his criticism on Rahul Gandhi and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Shah accused the previous Congress government of widespread corruption, claiming that "three Ds - dealer, dalal (middleman), and damaad (son-in-law)" ran the administration. He alleged that jobs were sold, and bribes were necessary to secure employment during the Congress regime.
Addressing concerns about the Agnipath scheme, Shah promised that every Agniveer from Haryana would receive a permanent government job with pension benefits. He accused Rahul Gandhi of spreading false information about the scheme, stating, "Rahul Gandhi has no work except to spread rumours."
The Home Minister also touched on sensitive issues, challenging Rahul Gandhi to reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir and accusing him of wanting to end reservation policies. Shah reminded voters of incidents in Gohana and Mirchpur, suggesting that Hooda maintains an "anti-Dalit mindset."
Contrasting the Congress era with the BJP's governance, Shah boasted that during the BJP's 10-year rule, jobs were given based on merit. He highlighted the BJP government's achievements in Haryana, including the procurement of 24 crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the implementation of the Bhavantar Bharpai scheme for farmers.
Looking to the future, Shah made several promises for Ambala's development, including the establishment of a textile park, an airport, an Olympic sports nursery, and an industrial model township.
