Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda embarked on an extensive campaign tour across Sirsa district, rallying support for Congress candidates in the upcoming elections. Traveling by helicopter and a specially designed bus, Hooda addressed gatherings in multiple villages, expressing confidence in Congress forming the next government in Haryana.
During his campaign, Hooda didn't mince words in criticizing the current BJP-JJP coalition government. He pointed out the widespread discontent among various sections of society, including farmers, employees, and traders. "The people of Haryana have experienced the difficulties under INLD's rule and are now facing the shortcomings of the BJP-JJP government," Hooda stated. He emphasized that many citizens feel their voices have gone unheard, leading to frequent protests across the state.
Hooda highlighted the contrast between the current administration and Congress's previous tenure. "During our government, all communities prospered. Farmers received adequate irrigation and immediate tubewell connections," he reminisced. The former Chief Minister portrayed Congress as the solution to the state's current problems, promising a government that would genuinely represent people's needs.
Addressing recent political developments, Hooda commented on BJP's outreach to Kumari Selja, a senior Congress leader. He interpreted this move as a sign of BJP's desperation and admission of impending defeat. "By inviting Kumari Selja to join their party, the BJP has already acknowledged their defeat," Hooda claimed.
Throughout his tour, Hooda appealed to voters in Dabwali, Rania, Ellenabad, and Sirsa to support Congress candidates. He dismissed speculation about other parties' chances, particularly when asked about Abhay Chautala's Chief Ministerial aspirations. Hooda maintained that while democracy allows everyone to voice their opinions, Congress was poised to form the next government.
The campaign trail saw Hooda addressing large gatherings, including one at Bhagat Singh Chowk in Sirsa, where he urged support for local Congress candidate Gokul Setia. His message consistently focused on the need for change and the promise of responsive governance under Congress rule.
