These projects promise to enhance connectivity and drive economic growth in the region. During the same event, PM Modi distributed sanction letters to 32,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), reaffirming his government’s dedication to providing housing for all.

In a significant boost to India’s modern railway infrastructure, the Prime Minister also flagged off six Vande Bharat trains from Tatanagar Junction, setting a new benchmark for speed and efficiency in rail transport across the nation. This encapsulates the Modi government's dual focus on infrastructure and social welfare, ensuring that the benefits of growth reach every corner of the country, particularly regions with historical and cultural significance like Jharkhand.

Ayushman Bharat Becomes Bigger

In a landmark decision on September 11, 2024, the Union Cabinet approved a major expansion of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), extending health coverage to all senior citizens aged 70 and above, irrespective of their income. This move will benefit approximately 4.5 crore families, covering 6 crore senior citizens, who will now receive free health insurance of up to ₹5 lakh per family. With this approval, every senior citizen in this age group will have access to the scheme's benefits, ensuring inclusive healthcare coverage across socio-economic strata.
