Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) legislator Abhay Singh Chautala has made strong statements demanding the swift arrest of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. This call comes in the wake of the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) recent action against Hooda, where properties worth approximately 850 crore rupees were seized.

During a visit to Ellenabad village, Chautala spoke to journalists about the ED's crackdown on Hooda. He revealed that he had previously submitted a 400-page report to the BJP government in the state assembly, detailing alleged irregularities during Hooda's tenure. Chautala expressed frustration that no action was taken on this report at the time.

"If the state government had been serious then, action against Bhupinder Singh Hooda would have been taken long ago," Chautala stated. He emphasized that the ED's recent seizure of Hooda's assets clearly indicates that the former Chief Minister was involved in multiple scams in Haryana.

Chautala didn't mince words in his criticism, saying, "If the government is really serious now, they should take immediate action against Bhupinder Singh Hooda and put him in jail as soon as possible." He accused Hooda of buying land from farmers at low prices during his tenure and selling it to big builders at inflated rates.

The INLD leader also questioned the delay in Hooda's arrest, noting that the ED has already interrogated him and has all the evidence. "If Bhupinder Singh Hooda is not arrested soon, it clearly means that BJP and Congress are in cahoots," Chautala alleged, hinting at a possible secret understanding between the two major parties.

This statement from Abhay Chautala adds a new dimension to the ongoing political drama in Haryana. As the state moves closer to its next assembly elections, such accusations and counter-accusations are likely to intensify.
