BJP Leader Kangana Ranaut Meets Party President After Controversial Remarks

Actress-turned-politician faces backlash over comments on farmers' protests as Haryana elections approach, prompting BJP to distance itself from her statements.

BJP Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut met with the party's national president, JP Nadda, at his home on Thursday. This meeting happened just days after Ranaut made controversial comments about the farmers' protests that took place in 2020-2021.

Ranaut, who is known for being an actress and is now also a politician, recently said some things that made many people angry. She talked about the farmers' protests against farm laws that happened a few years ago. These protests were very big, with many farmers from Haryana and Punjab staying near Delhi for more than a year to show they didn't like the new laws.

In her comments, Ranaut said that if the government hadn't acted strongly, the protests could have made India like Bangladesh. She also said some bad things happened during the protests, like people getting hurt and crimes being committed.

These comments made a lot of people upset. The BJP, which is Ranaut's political party, said they didn't agree with what she said. They told her not to say things like that again because she's not allowed to speak for the party about important matters.

Other political parties were very angry about what Ranaut said. The Congress party leaders said her words were very disrespectful to farmers. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held protests in Haryana, saying the BJP doesn't care about farmers.

Ranaut later said that the BJP had told her off for what she said. She promised to be more careful with her words in the future and to follow what her party believes.

All of this is happening at an important time because Haryana is getting ready for Assembly elections. People in Haryana will vote on October 1 to choose their new leaders. The results of the voting will be announced on October 4.

The meeting between Ranaut and Nadda is important because it shows the BJP is trying to handle this problem before the elections. The party wants to make sure that what Ranaut said doesn't cause them trouble in the elections.
