The internal conflicts brewing in the Haryana BJP as the party prepares its first list of candidates for the upcoming state elections. At the center of this controversy is Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh, who has reportedly refused to seek a ticket for his daughter, Aarti Rao.

According to media reports, Rao Inderjit Singh expressed his displeasure during a recent meeting of the state election committee in Gurugram. When asked to choose between Kosli and Ateli constituencies for his daughter's candidacy, Rao firmly stated that the decision to contest and from which seat would be made by Aarti herself.

This stance marks a departure from Rao's previous attempts to secure a ticket for his daughter in 2014 and 2019. Sources close to the minister suggest that his reluctance this time stems from past rejections and a growing frustration with the party's decision-making process.

Adding to the tension, supporters of Rao Inderjit Singh are also upset. Many of these supporters, who joined the BJP with Rao when he left Congress in 2014, claim their names were not included in the preliminary list of ticket contenders. They argue that they were labeled as outsiders in 2014 and were not aligned with the Khattar camp in 2019, resulting in their exclusion from ticket consideration.

The discontent extends beyond just ticket distribution. Rao's supporters express disappointment that their names were not even forwarded by district presidents for initial discussions, despite having submitted their candidatures.

This internal strife comes at a crucial time for the BJP in Haryana. The party has reportedly finalized its first list of candidates, which is expected to be released in the next day or two following a meeting of the central election committee.

The situation highlights the challenges political parties face in managing internal expectations and maintaining unity during election seasons. It also underscores the complex dynamics between established leaders and their supporters within party structures.

As The Haryana Story continues to monitor these developments, it remains to be seen how the BJP leadership will address these internal conflicts and whether they will impact the party's performance in the upcoming elections. The resolution of these issues could play a significant role in shaping the political landscape of Haryana in the coming months.
