CM Manohar Lal Announces Ambitious Healthcare Initiatives

Healthcare Infrastructure Boosted, Doctor Shortage Addressed in Haryana Ambitious Plans Unveiled

In a significant move aimed at revolutionizing healthcare in Haryana, CM Manohar Lal announced a slew of initiatives during his visit to Karnal. Highlighting the state's commitment to enhancing medical facilities, he inaugurated six projects and laid the foundation stone for another. Among the key announcements was a bold vision to ensure the presence of doctors in every village by 2030.

Addressing the Doctor Shortage

Chief Minister Manohar Lal addressed the pressing issue of the shortage of medical practitioners in the state. He revealed plans to increase the number of MBBS admissions, aiming to reach 3650 admissions by 2030, up from the current 2150 seats. Additionally, he emphasized the need to attract and retain doctors, envisioning the deployment of 2000 doctors in Haryana by 2030, significantly easing healthcare accessibility.

Expanding Healthcare Infrastructure

The CM emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in bolstering healthcare services. He inaugurated projects worth 821 crore rupees, including the establishment of private wards in government hospitals, expansion of medical colleges, and the launch of wellness centers promoting holistic health practices like yoga and nutrition counseling.

Empowering Women and Ensuring Healthcare Access

Underlining the government's commitment to gender equality and healthcare accessibility, CM Manohar Lal highlighted initiatives like the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign and the increased enrollment of female students in medical colleges. He emphasized the importance of empowering women and ensuring their participation in healthcare delivery.
